November 15, 2006- Osterman Propane is cleaning up in our communities by participating in local hazardous waste disposal days. Osterman Propane collects outdated and damaged Propane grill cylinders which are then emptied and recycled for scrap metal. - In Auburn, Massachusetts, Osterman collected over 280 cylinders. - In North Smithfield, Rhode Island, Osterman collected over 120 cylinders. |

August 22, 2006- Osterman Propane is keeping the Southbridge art scene "cool" with the donation of two air conditioning units to the Quinebaug Valley Council for the Arts and Humanities. The Arts Center in Southbridge, Massachusetts is currently undertaking a major capital campaign to restore their headquarters at Ammidon Castle. This donation will help The Arts Center to expand their summertime programs and make events more comfortable for participants and visitors.

This program provides an opportunity for non-profit and social service organizations to attend Defender home games. Alternatives' annual fundraiser allows volunteers to participate in events for walkers, runners, cyclists, and even kayakers along seven routes through the Blackstone Valley ranging from 1 - 50 miles. June 9-10, 2006- Osterman Propane is helping light the way for walkers in the American Cancer Society’s "Relay For Life®." Relay For Life of Franklin County is an overnight walk-a-thon held in Greenfield, Mass. to celebrate survivorship and raise funds for the American Cancer Society. Osterman Propane provides the fuel for a 100-foot torch which keeps the vigil over walkers during the event. This year’s Relay for Life raised over $302,400 to help fight cancer.
